AISC is a not for profit technical and trade association leading the effort to increase the market share for structural
steel in buildings and bridges. Our activities include market development, research, specification and code development, education, quality
certification, and technical assistance.
During the past year, AISC has directly influenced the use of more than 250,000 tons of structural steel.

At Peddinghaus’ Oktoberfest celebration, Design Data will demonstrate the latest release of its software, SDS/2 v. 7.1. This version
of the company’s flagship product introduces new features — such as adding sloped columns and curved beams with automatic connection design. — that
will help streamline detailing and fabrication processes, and increase functionality.
Other new enhancements that will be highlighted include the ability to design welded connections for vertical braces and to support sloping columns. Design Data
staff will also demonstrate how members can now be grouped and detailed together with the bill of material, and the ease with which member information, such as
connections and specifications, can be copied and pasted from member to member.
