Peddinghaus wishes to thank all of customers, friends and industry colleagues who visited our stand at the Mach Exhibition in Birmingham, UK on April 21 – 25. International guests from every continent stopped in to inspect Peddinghaus technology in the field of plate and structural steel fabrication.
Of special interest was the PCD 1100 drill line in tandem operation with a model DG 1100 miter band saw. The PCD is the fastest selling multi-spindle drill in the world, with over 110 units shipped in less than two years. With a small shop footprint, powerful spindle motors, and complete scribe marking capability, the PCD is the perfect drilling machine for the progressive structural fabricator.
The DG 1100 band saw features miter capability up to 60 degrees right and left. The rugged design, including a powerful frame with hardened ground ways, provides the foundation for fast accurate sawing of sections up to 1100 mm wide. No flood coolant contaminates the section, as the patented PeddiCool lubrication system, uses just a touch of vegetable oil to glide the blade through the section, eliminating any hazardous or cumbersome clean up.
On display was the Peddinghaus Plasma plate punching system, the FPB 1800, featuring punching speed with plasma responsiveness to provide fast, accurate processing of nested parts from a 6M (20ft) infeed plate. In this day of ever increasing steel prices, it’s good to know the Peddinghaus design helps to eliminate scrap.
Thanks to the MTA for a great show – see you in 2010!
