John J. Holland, Peddinghaus’ Executive Vice President was honored by his fellow Peddinghaus employees with a dinner in his honor commemorating his long service to the company. John joined the company as the first “official” hire in 1976, when American Peddinghaus was based in Moonachie, NJ. This was prior to the purchase of the Bradley facility in 1977.
Under the tutelage of Mr. Jerry Hilston, John developed a keen knowledge of the structural steel fabrication industry. He soon focused on the emerging CNC machine tool technology, spearheaded by Peddinghaus in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. John has been instrumental in the layout and design of many production facilities utilized by premier structural fabricators in the world today.
John maintains a stellar reputation in the industry for providing technology, education, and insight into the structural steel construction and heavy plate fabrication marketplace. He has served the industry by participating in various capacities for multiple fabrication organizations, such as the AISC and FMA.
Recently, John has been serving Peddinghaus as Executive Vice President in charge of sales for the USA and Canada. Effective January 1, 2009, John will take responsibility for the Structural Steel Systems, Ltd. division of Peddinghaus. This firm specializes in remanufactured machine tools, surplus equipment, auctions, appraisals, etc.
Mr. Michael Sharp will assume the sales responsibilities for Peddinghaus domestic sales efforts. Peddinghaus is pleased for the long standing experience and integrity that these individuals bring to the organization and our customers.
