Auxiliary Tables

For fabricators that desire to process profiles longer than 60“ in length, auxiliary tables are available for purchase with the FPD-1120. These tables extend the left and right side of the operating area allowing longer material to be supported by the machines’ base while the profile is processing. This offers more operating room for the mechanical clamps to transverse the material in the x and y direction.

The 120 ton triple tool punch press of the FPD allows for maximum durability and efficiency. Capable of punching holes up to 1-1/2" in diameter, and maintaining up to three available punch stations the FPD minimizes the need for tool change.

Punch tooling provides an economic option for hole creation. On average up to 1,000 holes can be created using a single punch and die set before re-sharpening. Based on common costs for these consumables each hole is produced at less than 1 cent each! When Punching is not an option, the FPD offers drilling as a fast and effective alternative. Capable of drilling at spindle speeds reaching 900 RPM, the powerful 13.5 HP spindle of the FPD is ideal for small hole diameters, or the production of abrasion resistant steel. The FPD is additionally capable of automating layout with the creation of "pop-marks" on material.

Clamping on the FPD is facilitated by a powerful hydraulic clamp, which maintains clamping pressure within close proximity to the operating area of the drill spindle.

Every part has a name, and each goes into a final assembly. Whether its base plates, gussets, or moment connections, part marking and layout designation can save fabricators costly overhead and rework. The FPD is fully capable of carbide scribing via standard carbide marking station. This station allows for an adjustable marking depth and is perfectly visible after coating processes such as painting, or galvanizing.

The Peddinghaus FPD-1120 utilizes a modern vegetable oil based Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system which applies lubrication directly to the cutting surface.
