The Right Solution for My Shop?

If your production requirements range for heavy angle iron and plate connections in steel construction to manufacturing in industrial applications like transportation, wind power, material handling, commercial work or agriculture - the Anglemaster AFCPS-823 is the machine for you. You only get paid for the parts that you deliver, so providing the most accurate, most productive, and most profitable parts are essential to your operation.

Successful fabricators currently employ the AFCPS-823 to automate heavy angle iron and plate processing with one machine that can deliver accurate, finished parts in seconds. Whether your requirements are large or you simply seek to control costs with internal angle processing, the justification for the AFCPS-823 is simple. A typical 150 mm x 150 mm x 15 mm (6" x 6" x 5/8”) clip angle with twelve holes, can be punched, marked, sheared to a finished length in less than one minute. Heavy bracing angle, 200 mm x 200 mm x 20 mm (8" x 8" x 3/4”) with multiple holes on lead and trailing end are processed in seconds.

Do you need to process common plate components such as base plates or spice plate connections? The change over time is less than 5 minutes – simply by changing the shear blade. Analysis of typical structures such as pre-engineered buildings, pipe-rack structures, and portal frame buildings reveal that over 80% of typical components can be processed.

The AFCPS-823 is the choice of fabricators, service centers, manufacturers, and metal working firms who want the versatility of processing heavy angle and plate at a competitive price.

Two robust 118 metric ton (130 inch ton) hydraulic cylinders
Punching

Two robust 118 metric ton (130 inch ton) hydraulic cylinders mounted on a processing table are employed for punching on the AFCPS-823. These powerful cylinders aid in the production of a wide variety of angle sizes ranging from 3 mm thick to 25 mm thick (1/8" thick to 1" thick).

For faster, more accurate production, the AFCPS-823 offers a hydraulic hold down clamp unit. This assembly assists during the punching process regardless of tooling clearance. An exclusive Die Raise System keeps tooling below material during processing, which assists in processing bent or distorted material by eliminating dragging or jamming.

When maintenance or manual tool change is a concern a unique “easy out” die design facilitates tool changes, for expedited production. Each punch stem has key ways machined for correct orientation of shaped tooling. Optional tooling packages are available to achieve very tight gauge lines on any size angle iron.

Parts Tracking Utility (PTU)

The parts tracking utility is a program created for monitoring production of material on Peddinghaus machines using Siemens controls. This program is not immediately visible to the machine operator and works in the background of the CNC control.

This program creates an output file at a desired location that displays vital information about part production. By monitoring specific internal machine communications, the program will document the use of your machine. This can include an array of items, ranging from the number of holes punched or drilled to the amount of time the operator paused the machine.

Benefits of the PTU
  • Automatic documentation of production
  • Ability to view progress remotely
  • Ability to monitor employee productivity
  • Elimination of human error in the production monitoring process
Program Requirements

Peddimat version 1.09.07 must be installed on the machine, for the production control to work. This is because the header of the part file that is run on Peddimat version 1.09.07 has to be in a specific order. The machine must have a Siemens 840 Di or newer control.
