With a precision slide design and integrated cylinders, the PeddiMax No. 1 provides a true 90° approach to every work piece in all punching, shearing, and notching operations. The perpendicular motion of the slide provides distortion free punching and shearing for every piece. With no lateral forces, you will get longer life out of the machine, tooling, and blades than you would with machines that use radial or pivotal arm designs. This machine comes with two slides and two cylinders, so that two operations can be performed at the same time.

Over the years, the Peddinghaus Steelworker line has become synonymous with durability.

It is not an uncommon sight to see a Peddinghaus steelworker from the 1940s or 50s still in operation within a fabrication shop and Peddinghaus' reputation reamains unchanged. A lot of steelworker companies exist, but none of them boast the track record of durability as Peddinghaus does.

The swing away stripper and quick-change couple and locking nut make changing tooling a fast and easy process to help save you time between jobs. All steelworkers come standard with a #513 material support table for the punch end. Not only does the table help support material, but also includes stop rails for more accuracy throughout production. The adjustable stroke reduces time required to produce parts.

The PeddiMax is able to punch up to 39 mm (1-1/2") holes in 24 mm (1") material standard. Need to go even bigger? Inquire about our oversized punching attachment for holes up to 90 mm (3-1/2") large.

With heat-treated blades combined with the guillotine shearing action, the flat stock shear provides minimal distortion cuts. Shear up to 500 mm x 20 mm (20" x Ύ") flat stock with our extra wide blades. Save on replacement blade cost with these reversible blades with four cutting edges. The flat stock blades can shear an angle leg at 45° as well. Stop rails on the flat stock material table keep cuts in line. Our universal steelworkers come with a free 1M (39") Electric Length Stop to decrease production time when performing multiple shears at one length.

Standard section shear blades allow for the shearing of angle stock up to 150 mm x 150 mm x 12 mm (6" x 6" x ½") and bar stock up to 50 mm (2") for both round and square material. Need to shear I-beams, channel, or a unique shape? We can provide custom section blades for your unique applications. Use the free 1M (39") electric length stop to speed up the shearing process.

Get smooth notches in flat stock, channel, and angle because of the vertical movement of Peddinghaus' notcher. The notcher end comes with a work table with guide rails for more convenient work. The square opening on the notcher end allows for more versatility.
