Once material is sensed by the Automatic Material Sensing probe, the band saw will transfer instantaneously into cutting feeds and speeds. This feed is based on program command, and is fully adjustable by the operator, as desired, while the saw is in operation.
Using a ball screw feed, the 1100 DG provides the benefit of Automatic Feed compensation. When cutting through the web of beams, or hard spots in the material, a sensor will trigger instantly letting the band saw know whether the feed needs to go faster or slower – enhancing blade life and cut quality.
End of Cut Sensing and Automatic Retract
Upon completion of the cut, Peddinghaus band saws will sense the end of sawing operations and will automatically retract the blade
