Reduce the need for multiple material handling routines
3 Operations – 1 Work Station
Reduce the need for multiple material handling routines and minimize crane usage with the FPD-1120. FPD users can drill, punch, and scribe in one location, without the need to move material.
Drill or Punch to Meet Your Needs
Punch slots, squares or rounds, and drill, tap, or countersink all in the same program
Drill or Punch to Meet Your Needs
For fabricators who rely on versatility to maintain their competitive advantage, the FPD offers options other plate duplicators simply do not. Punch slots, squares or rounds, and drill, tap, or countersink all in the same program. No other plate duplicator offers the same versatility.
Material Handling
These tables extend the left and right side of the operating area allowing longer material to be supported by the machines’ base while the profile undergoing production.
Auxiliary Tables
For fabricators that desire to process profiles longer than 1,524 mm (60") in length, auxiliary tables are available for purchase with the FPD-1120. These tables extend the left and right side of the operating area allowing longer material to be supported by the machines’ base while the profile is processing. This offers more operating room for the mechanical clamps to transverse the material in the x and y direction.

Remote Diagnostics
Peddinghaus inside service technicians don't need to be at your machine to solve a question you may have
Remote Diagnostics
Peddinghaus inside service technicians don't need to be at your machine to solve a question you may have. A common internet connection is all that is needed for the Peddinghaus technician to operate your control as if he was standing with you at the machine. The Powerful Windows® based Siemens control used on Peddinghaus equipment allows for this capability, and provides superior diagnostics via Windows® based atmosphere.
Web Camera Troubleshooting
Peddinghaus machines are shipped with high definition web cameras and software
Web Camera Troubleshooting
Not every problem can be diagnosed with remote assistance. Mechanical issues or questions that require the human eye are still common. Peddinghaus machines are shipped with high definition web cameras and software; allowing Peddinghaus employees to vividly experience the activity at the installation without the need to leave the office.
This feature is also available as an upgrade to all existing Peddinghaus machines maintaining a Windows® interface.

Punching
The proven 109 metric ton (120 inch ton) triple tool punch press of the FPD allows for maximum durability and efficiency.
Punching
The 109 metric ton (120 inch ton) triple tool punch press of the FPD allows for maximum
durability and efficiency. Capable of punching holes up to 38 mm (1-1/2") in diameter, and
maintaining up to three available punch stations the FPD minimizes the need for tool change.
Punch Tooling
On average up to 1,000 holes can be created using a single punch and die set before re-sharpening.
Punch Tooling
Punch tooling provides an economic option for hole creation. On average up to 1,000 holes can be created using a single punch and die set before re-sharpening. Based on common costs for these consumables each hole is produced at less than 1 cent each! When compared to market prices for outsourced plate production, a fast Return On Investment (ROI) is quickly realized.
Why Punch Not Drill?
Punch tooling is inexpensive
Why Punch Not Drill?
Punching has been an accepted method of hole creation for many reasons.
Punch tooling is inexpensive
Hole creation is fast and efficient
Punch tooling allows for the creation of square or slotted holes
There is no drill chip remnant or lubrication cleanup required
Drilling
Capable of drilling at spindle speeds reaching 900 RPM, the powerful 10 kW (13.5 HP)
Powerful Spindle Motor
When Punching is not an option, the FPD offers drilling as a fast and effective alternative. Capable of drilling at spindle speeds reaching 900 RPM, the powerful 10 kW (13.5 HP) spindle of the FPD is ideal for small hole diameters, or the production of abrasion resistant steel. The FPD is additionally capable of automating layout with the creation of "pop-marks" on material.
Rigid Hydraulic Clamping
Maintains clamping pressure within close proximity to the operating area of the drill spindle
Rigid Hydraulic Clamping
Clamping on the FPD is facilitated by a powerful hydraulic clamp, which maintains clamping pressure within close proximity to the operating area of the drill spindle.
Why Drill Not Punch?
Punched holes are not acceptable for every application
Why Drill Not Punch?
Although punching has benefits, it also has limitations to consider when compared to drilling.
Punched holes are not acceptable for every application
Punching is limited in maximum hole size, minimum hole size, and material thickness
Material hardness and tensile strength can become a factor
Before deciding on your method of hole creation, Peddinghaus recommends consulting one of our experienced machine tool professionals.
Carbide Scribing
The FPD is fully capable of carbide scribing via standard carbide marking station.
Carbide Scribing
Every part has a name, and each goes into a final assembly. Whether its base plates, gussets, or moment connections, part marking and layout designation can save fabricators costly overhead and rework. The FPD is fully capable of carbide scribing via standard carbide marking station. This station allows for an adjustable marking depth and is perfectly visible after coating processes such as painting, or galvanizing.
MQL Lubrication
MQL Lubrication
The Peddinghaus FPD-1120 utilizes a modern vegetable oil based Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system which applies lubrication directly to the cutting surface. This "nearly dry" method of lubrication offers benefits that are profound compared to yesterday's drill and punching lubrication methods:
When Drilling
Lubricant is applied “through-the-tool” in minimal amounts

When Punching
A nozzle located behind the punch assembly sprays small amounts of the coolant onto the punch
