AJAX, an established steel fabrication company, continues to grow right alongside the beautiful city they have been serving for over 6 decades. Consisting of 400 employees in the shop, 200 in the office and an additional 300 at the erection sites in Mexico City, the tonnage AJAX produces is a true testament to their work ethic. AJAX operates a dozen Peddinghaus CNC machines (plate lines, saw drill lines, copers and a PeddiWriter) to help with their massive throughput.

Our main market is high rise in all of Mexico but mainly, in the Mexico City area.

But we'd also do low rise commercial and commercial retail buildings.

In 1991, we were looking to be the first company in Mexico to have CNC machines. We wanted to produce more accurate with more quality.

Our first Peddinghaus machine, I believe it was a FPB-1500.

We needed because we had a bottleneck in plate processing.

The results with Peddinghaus was excellent to start processing plate by CNC that before was made by drills, hand drills.

Our Peddinghaus plate lines hear in AJAX also they are very productive.

Starting from the FPB-1800 we have is very cheap to operate to make a hole.

And the HSFDBs are very unique in doing some things. No other machines does like bevelling and countersinking. We love that.

The Peddinghaus technology in countersinking and bevelling made a big difference in the project we are building about 20 miles away.

Our 40 story building we have to do countersinking, in I believe around three or four inch plates, and it was fabulous there.

AJAX is proud of doing many projects big and small, but, let's say, projects above 25,000 tons.

We have Reforma 222, Plasa Carso, Bos Coreale, and Vidalta among other ones.

Right now, we're producing around 48,000 metric tons per year.

We have one of the most productive facilities for structural steel in the world.

This facility is only four years old, lots of CNC machines, six of them just acquired less than two or three years ago, 41 overhead cranes.

We're 60 miles from the most modern beam mill in the world.

We are in the middle of Mexico, and we have very good quality, very good levels of production.
