This "My Peddinghaus Story" highlights HEISCO (Heany Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Co.) in Shuaiba, Kuwait, where Mr. Medhat Khedr and his team have doubled their productivity using Peddinghaus equipment. Discover how HEISCO is able to process 15,000 to 20,000 tons of structural steel per year.

Heisco is the APC contractor for mainly the oil and gas division.

We are serving this market into various level of products, like fabrication or pressure vessels, steel structure, and heat exchangers.

We do also construction activity. We do maintenance for the big boilers and turbines. And we do offshore and onshore work and construction work.

Here we have three major products, which is the structured steel, pressure vessels and pressure equipments, and the piping work.

In structured steel, our capacity now is--we're developing our capacity to reach between 15,000 to 20,000 tons a year.

The pressure vessel, after also a certain development, we reach now 3,500 tons per year.

And for the piping raw works, here we measure it only by dia inch per day. So we were starting from a 150 dia inch per day. And today was a new improvement, we reached 2000 dia inch per day.

When we recognized the market demand and the quantum of work foreseen a couple of years back, and then we were thinking to improve and develop our output to make our feet strong in the market.

And here comes the idea is the only way is to do so is by quantifying the labels and upgrading our machinery to be CNC machinery.

That this is one the measure parameters. We started looking at it and then we contacted most of the machine providers, the international machine providers like Peddinghaus.

And then we started evaluating our demands with them and how they can serve us. And then, eventually, it's ended up choosing Peddinghaus.

At the start up of doing this, we have to provide like a visibility study to the management to approve the funds to these such investments.

And we theoretically said that this such a machine will increase our productivity to double or maybe 2.5 the existing one.

As you might be known, that all the managers would be a conservative in such things. And they know we succeed to compile the file theoretically.

But when we got this machine in position, and after a couple of months of our learning curve, we succeeded practically to double our productivity.

The major difference from our aspect and point of view for Peddinghaus, sure, it's a nice machine.

It looks very heavy-duty machine. But what we were really impressed and amazed at, the service after sale.

And here we found Peddinghaus responsive and very quite fast. And whatever is required from their side to deliver parts, is also action being taken in a very short time.

And in between there will be some technical troubleshooting problems, technical problem, they were always in line with us, whether by internet or by phone or by personal attendance. And we were able to sort out things.
