Turnkey Commercial Construction Solutions at Calder Stewart

Today, Calder Stewart Construction is known for providing turnkey solutions for construction projects. They do it all - land acquisition, development, design, concrete work, structural steel fabrication and the final construction.

Calder Stewart was founded in 1955 by my father, Bruce Stewart, and his friend Lance Calder.

They got into steel--or into welding because they had a contract building a repeater station on top of a mountain.

Calder Stewart primarily deals in commercial construction.

We offer turnkey solutions. We will arrange the land, the development, the design in-house.

We do structural steel, pre-cast concrete, reinforcing steel, and the construction. We're bulk retail, supermarkets, factories, warehouses, office buildings.

When we were looking for a new facility, and selecting what processing plant we wanted, particularly, we were looking at beam line.

The benefits are taking out the manual labor, taking out the potential errors in drilling, and greater productivity.

Part of the reason that we selected Peddinghaus was the robustness and strengths of the machinery.

With our new Peddinghaus equipment, we've tripled our production. Now we've got the flexibility to handle multiple large projects.

The benefits of the plate machine for us has been that we're not relying on outsourcing from third parties. We can cut down our lead time to a day.

The benefit of the blast machine is that we've got nice, clean steel. Our guys appreciate, handling the steel, how much cleaner it is, how much easier it is turning out a better finished product.

The benefits of the coper machine are that we're mechanizing the process of doing notches and penetrations in beams.

We're happy with the Peddinghaus equipment. It's doing what we thought it was going to do.

Expectation was very high, and Peddinghaus delivered.
