In order to remain competitive in the evolving structural steel industry, fabricators understand the need for CNC technology. This "My Peddinghaus Story" takes you behind-the-scenes at Al Reyami in the heart of Dubai Industrial City, United Arab Emirates. By making the switch to Peddinghaus' roller measurement technology and utilizing outdoor material handling, Al Reyami has doubled their production capacity.

Al Reyami Steel Construction is a part of Al Reyami Group.

Al Reyami Group is headed by our chairman, Brigadier Rashid Mubarak Al-Reyami.

Al Reyami Steel Construction is headed by our CEO, Mr. Harshavardhan, under who's able guidance we are growing since 2003, the year it was founded.

Right now we are sitting in a place called Dubai Industrial City, which is very near to the Maktoum International Airport.

Our planned capacity for this facility is 8,000 tons per month. And we have approximately 500 people working for it.

We are mainly processing structural steel work for oil and gas, like pipelines and shelters; for commercial buildings, like malls, like bridges; and industrial sectors, like warehouses.

We started using CNC machineries in the year 2005. And we had a few machines, around five or six CNC machineries similar to Peddinghaus machines.

But we went for Peddinghaus machines.

We saw some good features, which were not available in the other machines. The Peddinghaus machines look very sturdy, heavy.

And the most important feature we liked was it could be used outside and it didn't have a printer system and it had a roller system, where the downtime due to the material handling can be reduced considerably.

Initially, when we were planning the layout for this factory, we got in touch with all the equipment manufacturers. And we asked them their suggestions on how to put the machines to save the area.

Peddinghaus came with a good layout for the machineries by putting it outside the shed and most of the area to be used for fabrication work.

We have been satisfied with the machine, the growths are good. It's having good speed and it's really fast. Normally, what we used to do in two shifts, now we are doing that in one shift.

The relationship with Peddinghaus is excellent. We have support in UAE which the other manufacturers don't have.

The customer service support has been excellent, whether you're right away on a call. Whenever we need it, we can get the support.

You have people here in the country. Whenever we call, they come straight away to our factory to see what's the problem. Or sometimes if they're not available, they're still on the phone explaining.

Al Reyami has been a client-oriented company. We serve our client to the department for quality and delivery.

We have been given repeated orders from our reputed customers, who are international contractors.
