This “My Peddinghaus Story” highlights ACL Steel in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and the decision to upgrade their machinery. With the new Peddinghaus technology, ACL tells viewers how their automation solution has drastically changed production results.

Hi, I'm Paul Seibel from ACL Steel,

and this is my Peddinghaus story.

We're structural steel fabricators,

that's our main line but we will do miscellaneous metals.

We like to do the box building and multi-story buildings,

office work, if we can.

The thing I like about the Anglemaster was it

was a top dog.

I mean, can be played by one.

So I can do a lot of things for it.

This means lots of potential to grow my business

more to the heavier end.

After we got our Anglemaster,

we did a bit of a comparison on how many parts

we could actually make.

So we just got, for example, two-hole clip, standard two-hole

clip.

One of my guys, I think, started timing

and he ended up making about 100 pieces in the nine-hour shift.

And then he took the same part and drew it up in PeddiMat

and ran it through the machine

and the machine did 100 pieces in 18 minutes.

So it is a big improvement over a day.

The only way I see surviving in the future

is you have to be automated somehow, some way,

to stand in the market place to be competitive.
