Hi, I'm Kyle Hansen from Gem Buildings. This is our Peddinghaus story.

We engineer, we detail, we produce all of our own designs and drawings. Everything for our own fabrication in one place under one roof.

We really took a quantum leap forward with CNC machines.

And when we got into heavier steel and a lot of multi-storey structures, we had to have the automation in order to fabricate the buildings that we were designing and that our customers needed.

Previous knowledge of Peddinghaus really led us down the path of feeling comfortable and get really excited about the acquisition of the PeddiWriter and being able to solve that, that fitting and layout, the challenge.

We had recently had a complicated column come through that took around 15 minutes to scribe and 20 minutes or so in the shop to work on to get the layout checked and understood.

That would have taken around an hour and 20 minutes and previous methods to scribe mark out in the shop with soap stone and typical methods.

So it saved quite a bit of time on that complicated column.

The consumables has been amazing. I really, that was something I thought there's no way that the--we'll not go through them as much but we haven't went through any.

Thought that was really going to help us out especially at the time when we were having a hard time finding qualified guys to lay pieces out.

Wherever steel structure will supply the need that our customers have, that's where the design and supply across the world.
